Terry Lily Hwang is a multidisciplinary practitioner whose practice encompasses earth-based ritual, ceremonial space-holding, creative healing arts, and a profound collaboration with the plant kingdom.

Her training path is anchored in multi-year apprenticeship and clinical training under the guidance of Francisca Santibanez and the Plant Spirit Talk lineage, encompassing the South American medicine traditions of Amazonian vegetalismo (Shipibo) and Andean cosmology (Q’ero), with integrated studies in Western clinical herbalism and ancestral somatics.

She is a certified facilitator of Plant Spirit Initiations— a sacred practice and advanced modality for healing and personal growth rooted in the science and spirit of the plants. It is a profound collaboration where we allow earth, spirit, and the plants to work with us on a cellular and energy level, re-organizing what has been stuck, stagnant, or disrupted; and opening pathways where inner knowing, grace, strength, radiance, and beauty can rise from within.

As a child of diaspora, Terry is shaped by her East Asian and islander ancestry, and her lived experience as a first generation daughter of immigrants. She comes to this work with direct experience of the deep healing and transformation this modality offers. Through devotion to the practice, she has transformed generational burdens into ancestral strength, self-doubt to inner knowing, shame and hiding into embodied radiance.

She supports multicultural folks, visionaries, leaders, creatives, changemakers, people of the global majority, and especially Asian American women and children of immigrants — guiding processes of self-reclamation, personal, and collective healing.

At the heart of this work are the Indigenous ways of knowing, passed down across generations, that acknowledge the intelligence of plant medicine, the sacredness of nature, and the innate healing capacity of each individual.

Sessions may include ritual guidance, elemental energy work and intuitive touch, creative movement, breath, song, and sound. Terry holds sacred space with grace, attuned presence, and compassion, supporting others to connect more deeply with nature, to the spirit of Life, and to their own innate wholeness.

“I carry this medicine with respect and care, to guide, to hold space for individuals and community towards greater wholeness, beauty, and truth.”  – TLH
